Immerse Yourself in a World of Dreams at the Skirball’s Enchanting Puppet Festival

The Skirball Cultural Center is hosting the Skirball Puppet Festival on Sunday, April 28 from noon to 5 p.m. This event is perfect for puppet lovers as admission is only $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/students and $13 for children ages 2 to 17. While advance tickets have been sold out, walk-up admission may be available.

Los Angeles has a unique tradition of celebrating puppets in April. In addition to the Skirball Puppet Festival, the city also observes National Puppet Day on March 21. But it’s not just about one day that Los Angeles loves puppets, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the month to enjoy these adorable creatures in all their glory.

The festival lineup includes performances by the Bob Baker Marionettes, Blackstreet USA Theatre and The Zuppeteers. Visitors can also enjoy musical performances by the Top Shelf Brass Band and workshops on the art of puppetry by Rogue Artists Ensemble.

The Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry will be present at the festival showcasing their passion for these furry friends and offering a range of puppet-related events throughout the year. The theme for this year’s festival is “A World of Dreams,” which ties in nicely with Maurice Sendak exhibition currently on display at the cultural center.

If you’re looking for some family fun or want to immerse yourself in a world full of imagination and creativity, then don’t miss out on this incredible event!
