IDF spokesperson urges preparedness for potential new war fronts after Israel attacks

Iran warns of a “much larger” attack on Israel if retaliated against missile and drone attacks – Middle East Updates | Global News

The recent attacks on Israel have emphasized the importance of being prepared for further aggression and potential new war fronts, according to Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, the IDF spokesperson. He stresses that the defense of Israel is a collective effort involving the US, British, and French military forces to send a clear message to Iran.

In response to questions about potential retaliation from Israel, Lerner mentions that the government will convene to make decisions and instruct the military accordingly. He emphasizes the need for the IDF to remain prepared for any eventuality and keep aerial defenses on high alert.

Although only a few of the 120 ballistic missiles launched reached their targets in Israel, a seven-year-old girl is currently in critical condition, fighting for her life as a result of the attacks. Lerner acknowledges that Iran has escalated its aggression against Israel and emphasizes the need to prevent similar incidents in the future.

When asked about the attack on Iran’s consulate in Syria, Lerner chooses not to comment. This refusal to engage in speculation reflects the IDF’s focus on preparing for potential threats and maintaining vigilance to protect Israeli lives.
