Hyundai Cooling Film Campaign Defies Tinting Laws in Lahore for Progressive Driving Experience

Hyundai Motor Group Presents Cutting-Edge Technology and Creative Campaign at Cannes Lions Festival

In April, Hyundai Motor introduced Nano Cooling Film in Lahore, Pakistan, where the extreme heat, air pollution, and window tinting laws present challenges. Despite a local tinting ban, Hyundai equipped over 70 vehicles with Nano Cooling Film for free, along with campaign stickers promoting ‘Made Cooler by Hyundai’. The campaign highlighted the benefits of the film, such as lower temperatures and improved driving comfort, while also respecting local regulations and cultural norms.

The presentation focused on the innovative Nano Cooling Film developed by Hyundai Motor and Kia. This technology significantly decreases energy consumption required to cool vehicle interiors without tinting the glass. The film is made up of three layers: an outer layer that radiates heat at mid-infrared wavelengths from the interior to the exterior of the vehicle; and two inner layers that reflect incoming heat at near-infrared wavelengths. This reduces the total amount of heat that enters the vehicle interior.

During the seminar held by Hyundai Motor and Kia, attendees expressed gratitude to the speaker for demonstrating how technology can be utilized to address social issues. The success of their campaign in Pakistan was emphasized by the Group. It was noted that it effectively communicated their brand vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’.
