Hungary Reclaims Mixed Relay Gold in Modern Pentathlon World Cup

In the UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Cup held in Ankara, Turkey, Hungary’s Michelle Gulyas and Balazs Szep emerged victorious in the mixed relay event. This win marked Hungary’s continued success in the competition, as Csaba Bohm had won the men’s title the day before. The Hungarian duo finished with a total of 1381 points, just narrowly beating Egypt and the Republic of Korea, who came in second and third respectively.

In the riding round, they earned 293 points, just four points behind Egypt who had the highest score in that event. Abdelmaksoud and Hamed had an impressive performance during the laser run, finishing with a time of 12:41.20. Despite their strong showing, Hungary was able to maintain their lead and secure victory with a third-best time of 12:53.00 in this event.
