Humana and UAB Health System Partnership Expands Access to Care for Medicare Advantage Members in Alabama

Humana, a prominent health and well-being company, has recently entered into an in-network agreement with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Health System. This agreement will provide expanded access to care for all Humana Medicare Advantage members in Alabama. Under this new agreement, Humana Medicare Advantage members in Alabama will now have access to the various UAB and UAB-affiliated facilities.

Matt Berger, President of Humana’s Gulf South Region, emphasized the high quality healthcare provided by UAB and expressed his pleasure at being able to offer all Humana Medicare Advantage members in Alabama the option of receiving care from UAB. This partnership aims to help Humana members achieve and maintain their best health. The agreement officially went into effect earlier this year.
