How AI Can Enhance Human Capabilities in the Business World: A Case Study by Renard Jenkins

Collaboration of Stakeholders to Review Emerging Technology

Financial data from the past 10 years could be used to design a CFO using an algorithm, according to Renard Jenkins, president and CEO of software development and consulting firm I2A2. He emphasized that AI should be viewed as a tool to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them.

Jenkins highlighted the importance of human involvement in AI processes, stating that human actions play a crucial role in the outcomes produced by these systems. He mentioned that AI is more about saving time rather than money, as time often leads to better results. He encouraged attendees to view AI technology as a way to improve efficiency rather than as a threat to job security.

The second annual AI On The Lot event attracted 850 registered attendees from various sectors, including Hollywood studios, tech developers, and filmmakers. The event aimed to bring together professionals interested in exploring the possibilities of AI in the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, negotiations between the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers addressed issues related to AI guardrails and funding for benefits plans.

Although a deal for a new Basic Agreement was not reached, discussions on the Area Standards Agreement are set to begin soon, with Basic Agreement negotiations expected to resume in June. The current three-year contract is due to expire on July 31, prompting further negotiations on key issues related to AI and industry standards.

During his speech at the event, Jenkins spoke about how financial data could be used to create an algorithm for designing a CFO. He emphasized that while AI can enhance certain tasks within organizations, it should be seen as a tool rather than a replacement for human labor.

Jenkins also highlighted the importance of human involvement in AI processes, stating that without human input and decision-making skills, these systems would not produce accurate or useful results.

He also pointed out that while some people fear that AI will lead to job losses in industries such as finance and accounting, he believes that it will actually make those jobs easier and more efficient.

Overall, Jenkins encouraged attendees at the event to embrace new technologies like AI instead of fearing them.
