Houthi Insurgents Successfully Target American Aircraft Carrier ‘Dwight D. Eisenhower’ in Yemen

Houthis launch new attack on US aircraft carrier ‘Eisenhower’ in Red Sea

The Houthi insurgency in Yemen has declared that they have once again targeted the American aircraft carrier ‘Dwight D. Eisenhower’ as it travels through the northern Red Sea. During a press conference, Yahya Sarea, the usual military spokesperson for the insurgents, announced that the attack on the ‘Eisenhower’ with ballistic and cruise missiles had been successful. The United States Army has not yet provided a comment on this incident.

According to reports from the ‘Washington Post’, the Navy had ordered the aircraft carrier to return to port after an extended mission in the area. It was stated that the ship would be replaced by another aircraft carrier operating in the Pacific, although the specific carrier has not been disclosed. The last known location of the ‘Eisenhower’ was in the northern Red Sea.

The Houthis previously claimed responsibility for attacking the same aircraft carrier on May 31 and then again on June 2, in response to alleged bombings by the United States and the United Kingdom against Yemen. These accusations were denied by the American military. Additionally,
