Houston Texans welcome Pro Bowl players Danielle Hunter and Stefon Diggs to voluntary OTAs

Danielle Hunter & Stefon Diggs Join Texans OTAs as Newcomers.

The Houston Texans welcomed two new players, Pro Bowl defensive end Danielle Hunter and wide receiver Stefon Diggs, at voluntary OTAs on Thursday. Hunter signed a two-year, $51 million contract with the Texans this offseason, eliminating any concerns about his contract. Meanwhile, Pro Bowl tackle Laremy Tunsil and offensive linemen Shaq Mason and Tytus Howard did not take part in drills last week, but Mason has since returned to practice.

Diggs, who was acquired by the Texans in a trade this offseason, looked sharp running routes alongside Nico Collins and Tank Dell. With the Texans voiding the final three years of his contract extension, Diggs will be playing for a new deal in 2025. There is speculation about whether the Texans will re-sign him, considering his impressive track record as one of the league’s top receivers.

Hunter is expected to continue his dominant performance from his time in Minnesota, especially with standout rookie Will Anderson Jr. beside him on the defensive line. In addition to Hunter and Diggs, the Texans have also made several other key additions to their roster this offseason, including linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, defensive lineman Denico Autry
