Honoring the Best in Niagara Falls Sports: Nominations Now Open for Sports Wall of Fame Inductions

The Niagara Falls Sports Wall of Fame is currently seeking nominations for athletes, teams, builders, and sponsors who have had a significant impact on sports in the area. Nominations are open year-round and can be submitted by Friday, May 3, 2024 to be considered for the 2024 inductions.

The purpose of the Sports Wall of Fame is to honor those who have brought recognition to themselves and the community through their athletic achievements, as well as those who have contributed to the development of sports in Niagara Falls. The Sponsor Award recognizes corporations and groups that have made a significant impact on sports in the city for at least five years.

The Sports Wall of Fame can be viewed at the Gale Centre on Thorold Stone Road, with plaques on display in the main concourse. A virtual version of the Sports Wall of Fame is also available online to view previous inductees. To nominate someone for the wall, visit niagarafalls.ca/swof for full details and access to an online nomination form. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 3, 2024.
