At an event at VivaTech in Paris, Honor CEO George Zhao announced that the global presentation of the Honor 200 series will take place on June 12. While discussing the importance of generative artificial intelligence in mobile, Zhao also hinted at some exciting news regarding the next smartphones, particularly emphasizing the Honor 200.
The upcoming Magic OS 8.0 operating system, which will come pre-installed on all of Honor’s new flagship phones, will feature generative AI technology. This technology will allow users to create stunning portraits with just a simple tap, eliminating the need for expensive lighting setups or professional equipment.
Two models will be available in the new series: Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. Both devices are already available for pre-order on the Chinese website. While details about the devices are limited until their launch, leaked rumors suggest that they will have a 50 MP OIS stabilized main camera with f/1.9 aperture and up to 100x hybrid zoom. Additionally, they are expected to have a 5,200mAh battery capable of fast charging at 100W.
During his speech at VivaTech, Zhao discussed Honor’s vision for artificial intelligence and emphasized the importance of combining personalized on-device AI with cloud-based AI for enhanced user experiences. He also mentioned the collaboration with Google Cloud to provide even more seamless AI experiences for users.
Zhao highlighted Honor’s unique four-layer AI architecture and its integration into MagicOS during his speech at VivaTech. The four layers include Cross-device and Cross-OS AI, platform-level AI, application-level AI, and Cloud-AI Service Interface. This architecture aims to create a customized operating system with generative applications and easy access to cloud services while prioritizing user privacy.
Honor’s speech at VivaTech focused on its commitment to innovation and creating cutting-edge technology that enhances user experiences while respecting their privacy concerns.
