Hoa Phat Increases Capital by Issuing Over 580 Million Shares, Becoming the Second-Largest Company in Vietnam in Terms of Outstanding Shares

Hoa Phat to Boost Capital to Nearly 64 Trillion VND

Hoa Phat Group has announced plans to increase its capital by issuing over 580 million shares. The final list of shareholders entitled to receive additional shares was announced on May 25. The group will issue the additional shares to existing shareholders at a rate of 10%, with each owner of 10 HPG shares receiving 1 new share.

The source of issuance will come from a capital surplus of 3.2 trillion VND and undistributed after-tax profits of 2.6 trillion VND. Following the issuance, Hoa Phat’s charter capital will increase by nearly 6 trillion VND, from 58.1 trillion VND to close to 64 trillion VND. This will result in approximately 6.4 billion HPG shares outstanding, making Hoa Phat the second-largest company in terms of outstanding shares on the stock market.

In recent years, Hoa Phat has been investing in large projects, leading to dividends being paid in shares. The group aims to harmonize the interests of businesses and shareholders, with plans to return to paying cash dividends if business results remain positive from 2025 onwards.
