Nebraska Football Extends Walk-On Offer to In-State Sprint Champion

Nebraska high school sprinting champion Mitchell Hupp has received a preferred walk-on spot with the Cornhusker football team. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 190 pounds, Hupp is a linebacker from Stanton High School in Stanton, Nebraska.

In addition to his football success, he also excelled in track and field, winning the Nebraska Class C titles in the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. His impressive times include 10.8 seconds in the 100m and 21.79 seconds in the 200m.

According to Sean Callahan of Husker Online, Hupp is currently deciding between walking on with the Cornhuskers or running track at Wayne State next season.
