High School Science Teacher Faces Sex Trafficking Charges after Using Underage Prostitute

In 2023, Sean Stevenson, a high school science teacher and coach, pleaded guilty to a federal charge of attempted enticement of a minor. The arrest came after an investigation that started with the arrest of a pimp and a sex worker in a separate case. Authorities found incriminating text messages on a woman’s phone offering to pay for an underage prostitute.

The texts included disturbing remarks like “The younger the better” and “Just keep it in mind if you come across any high school age girls.” When an undercover officer posed as the woman offering a 16-year-old girl for sex, Stevenson eagerly agreed. They negotiated pricing for sex acts, with Stevenson expressing interest in the girl.

Stevenson was arrested in October 2023 during what he thought would be a meeting with the 16-year-old girl. He had $140 in his car at the time of his arrest. He is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
