HFMA Honors American Hospital Association President Rick Pollack for Decades of Leadership in Healthcare Financial Management

AHA’s Pollack Recognized with HFMA Award for Impact on Health Care Sector

The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) recognized the efforts of American Hospital Association (AHA) President and CEO Rick Pollack by bestowing upon him the Richard L. Clarke Board of Directors Award during their annual conference in Las Vegas. This honor is the highest accolade given by HFMA, acknowledging Pollack’s 40 years of leadership at AHA and his significant contributions to healthcare industry and financing of healthcare services.

During her acceptance speech, C. Ann Jordan, President and CEO of HFMA, commended Pollack for his role in leading collaborative initiatives that have helped hospitals navigate challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and workforce shortages. She also highlighted his dedication towards achieving long-term goals, including redefining the hospital’s role and advocating for financial stability in the healthcare sector.

Pollack thanked the hospital and health system workforce for their dedication and hard work, as well as the contributions made by the AHA team. He expressed gratitude for being given this opportunity to serve America’s hospitals and health systems while acknowledging their special mission of caring for patients. Pollack credited everyone at AHA with outstanding work that led to this recognition.
