Kyle Larson secures pole position in Richmond Cup starting lineup

On Sunday night, the NASCAR Cup Series race will feature a pair of Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets at the front of the field. Kyle Larson, the defending spring Richmond winner, won the pole and will lead the way. His teammate, Chase Elliott, will be right behind him on the front row. Chevy drivers locked out the top two rows, with Ross Chastain in third and Alex Bowman in fourth.

Toyota drivers had a strong showing as well, with Bubba Wallace in fifth and Martin Truex Jr. in seventh. Ty Gibbs rounded out the top 10 for Toyota. Todd Gilliland was the top Ford driver, qualifying sixth. Austin Cindric and Joey Logano were also Ford drivers inside the top 10, with Cindric in ninth and Logano in tenth. The green flag for the Easter Sunday race is set to wave at 7:15 p.m. ET, with coverage starting on Fox at 7 p.m., preceded by pre-race coverage on FS1 at 5:30 p.m., followed by Fox at 6 p.m.

After last weekend’s Cup race at COTA, Kyle Busch confronted Christopher Bell on pit road.

In other news from last week’s racing action, Todd Gilliland was able to make his way into a strong position despite being a Ford driver – he qualified sixth! Austin Cindric and Joey Logano also made their way into the top ten for Ford.

The green flag for Sunday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race is set to wave at 7:15 p.m., with coverage starting on Fox at 7 p.m., preceded by pre-race coverage on FS1 at 5:30 p.m., followed by Fox at 6 p.m.
