Helsinki Stock Exchange ends day on a positive note

On a sunny Friday evening, the general index of the Helsinki Stock Exchange closed positively at 10,246.44, showing an increase of approximately 0.2 percent. This was a positive sign for the stock market, which has risen by about 1.3 percent since the beginning of the year. The insurance company Sampo saw a price decrease of 1.3 percent on Friday, while Elisa experienced an increase of around two percent. Optomed had the biggest increase of the day at 10.2 percent, with a block trade of around 360,000 euros taking place in its shares at around five o’clock. However, accounting firm Talenom experienced a decline of 5.3 percent on Friday.

Trading for composite company Exel Composites with subscription rights ends on Monday, June 3rd if they are not intended to be used they must be sold by Monday. The subscription period for Exel’s ongoing rights issue ends on June 7th after which unused subscription rights expire as worthless.
