Helen’s Carbon-Neutral Shift: A 5.3% Drop in District Heating Prices and the Future of Sustainable Energy

In Helsinki, energy company Helen has recently announced a 5.3 percent drop in the total price of district heating. This decision comes as a result of the company’s shift towards more carbon-neutral energy production and its move away from fossil fuels. In an effort to become completely carbon neutral by 2030, Helen has made a commitment to eliminating all combustion other than coal by 2040.
