The 2024 Florida Truck Driving Championships make a comeback in Daytona Beach

The Florida Trucking Association is thrilled to announce that the 2024 Florida Truck Driving Championships will be held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on June 14 and 15. This event will bring together over 300 of the state’s top professional motor vehicle drivers who will compete for the title of champion.

Alix Miller, president and CEO of FTA, highlighted the importance of recognizing and honoring the best professional truck drivers in the state. These drivers are respected for their dedication to professionalism and safety, making them industry ambassadors. They play a vital role in the nation’s economy, and the annual competition showcases their skills and commitment to safety and efficiency.

Drivers from companies like UPS, FedEx, Amazon, Publix, Walmart, and others will compete in various classes such as straight, tank, sleeper, twins, and more. The competition includes a written exam, pre-trip inspection, and a skills course. The scores from these events will determine the Grand Champion.

The Florida TDC serves as the qualifier for the National Truck Driving Championships hosted by the American Trucking Associations in August 2024 in Indianapolis. The Florida TDC is free for the public to attend and watch the competition unfold.
