Late Saturday night, Harvard Fire Protection District received a call about a fire on the 2200 block of Route 173. The fire caused heavy damage to the building, with smoke, fire and water being the main culprits. The incident was reported around 10:45 p.m., and firefighters were able to put out the blaze by 12:20 a.m. on Sunday morning.
The building was difficult to access, and responders had to work for over an hour before they were able to contain the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident. The business inside the building, which manufactured wooden pallets, was closed at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Harvard Fire Protection District officials, although it does not appear to be suspicious at this time. Copyright 2024 WIFR. All rights reserved.
