Halsey, Grammy-Nominated Singer, Opens Up About Her Health Struggle

Halsey recently announced details about her upcoming fifth studio album and its first single, The End. Along with this announcement, she shared her ongoing health struggles and expressed gratitude for being alive. Although she did not initially specify her ailments, she included links to the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in her post.

Halsey revealed more about her health struggles in a subsequent post, disclosing that she was diagnosed with Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022. Despite the challenges of managing these conditions over the past two years, she has been able to get them under control with the help of doctors.

In an Instagram video, Halsey discussed her plans to have a rebirth at the age of 30, free from illness and full of energy, to redo her 20s in her 30s. She previously acknowledged that she has dealt with various illnesses throughout her adult life, including endometriosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, Sjogren’s syndrome, and mast cell activation syndrome.

The singer’s single The End includes a line about her frequent battles with illness, referencing how her doctors tell her she’s sick every couple of years. Despite these challenges, Halsey is excited to return to making music after getting under control of her health issues.
