Hailey Van Lith, the Louisville guard, has decided to return for a fifth season of college basketball at LSU. This announcement comes after Van Lith did not enter the 2024 WNBA draft. However, it has been reported that she has entered the transfer portal for the 2024-25 season, potentially playing for a different team after spending one year at LSU.
Van Lith played for Louisville for her first three seasons before transferring to LSU for the 2023-24 season. During her time with the Tigers, she averaged 11.6 points in 31.3 minutes over 33 games. LSU’s season ended with a loss to Iowa in the Elite Eight, led by standout guard Caitlin Clark. Earlier this week, Van Lith’s teammate at LSU, Angel Reese, declared for the WNBA draft.
