Hailey Van Lith to conclude collegiate career at TCU

Hailey Van Lith, who has just completed her fourth season of NCAA women’s basketball competition, is set to transfer to Texas Christian University (TCU) for her final year as a college athlete. After spending her first three seasons at Louisville, where she achieved success on the court and reached the Final Four and Elite Eight, Van Lith transferred to LSU to play under legendary coach Kim Mulkey. Now, she is excited to join the TCU Horned Frogs for her last year of college basketball.

During her time at Louisville and LSU, Van Lith proved herself to be a valuable player, averaging 14.5 points, four rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. She showcased her versatility by transitioning from a wing player at Louisville to a point guard under Mulkey’s leadership at LSU. Her experience and skills will be highly beneficial to the TCU program as they aim for success in the upcoming season.

TCU had a promising start to the previous season, earning a spot in the AP Top 25 and beginning with an impressive 13-0 record. However, the team faced setbacks due to injuries leading to a six-game losing streak and two forfeited games. Despite these challenges, the Horned Frogs finished the season with a 21-12 overall record and an impressive 6-12 record in the Big 12 conference under second-year head coach Mark Campbell.

As she embarks on her final collegiate season, Van Lith brings with her an impressive resume that includes being one of only active Division I players with over 1900 points, over 500 rebounds and over 350 assists. Additionally, she has represented USA Basketball and is a candidate for the upcoming Paris Olympics’ national team selection process.
