Nine people were injured, including two children, in a shooting at a water park near Detroit, Michigan on Saturday evening. Rochester Hills, where the shooting took place, is located north of Detroit and was the scene of a school shooting in 2021. Governor Gretchen Whitmer expressed her heartbreak over the incident as she reiterated her commitment to keeping communities safe from gun violence.
