Green Bay Packers to Host Joint Practices with Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens during Training Camp: Coach Matt LaFleur Emphasizes Team Bonding and Preparation for the Season

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur is thrilled to announce that his team will have joint practices with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens during training camp this summer. The Packers will travel to Denver to practice with the Broncos before their Aug. 18 preseason game, and they will host the Ravens in Green Bay for practice before their Aug. 24 preseason finale at Lambeau Field.

LaFleur explained that the Packers will practice one day with the Broncos and one day with the Ravens in an effort to minimize any fighting that often occurs on the second day of joint practices. He expressed his excitement about the opportunity to face new systems and challenges, allowing the starters to get more playing time in a controlled environment and receive valuable work.

Since LaFleur took over as head coach, the Packers have participated in joint practices with another team every season except for 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted plans to practice with the Cleveland Browns. Last year, the Packers practiced with both the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals before preseason games, emphasizing the importance of team bonding and preparation for the season ahead.

The joint practices have become a regular part of the Packers’ training camp schedule, with past opponents including the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and New Orleans Saints. LaFleur believes that these joint practices provide a unique opportunity for his team to come together and grow stronger as a unit.

LaFleur’s decision to participate in joint practices is not only beneficial for his players but also provides fans with an exciting opportunity to witness some of their favorite teams going head-to-head in a controlled environment before they meet again during preseason games.
