Green Bay Packers Add Veteran Defensive Lineman, Place Undrafted Offensive Lineman on Reserve/Retired List”.

Packers place rookie OL Trente Jones on reserve/retired status

The Packers made some roster moves on Monday, officially adding defensive lineman Spencer Waege to their team. They also placed undrafted rookie offensive lineman Trente Jones on the reserve/retired list.

Spencer Waege, a veteran of the league, was claimed off waivers from the 49ers and is expected to make an immediate impact in Green Bay. He has played in over 100 games throughout his career and has experience at both tackle and guard positions.

Jones, who played for Michigan, was considered to have a chance to make the Packers’ roster due to his versatility. During his time at Ann Arbor, he played multiple positions including left tackle and projected as a possible guard. He appeared in 41 games and played a total of 839 snaps over five seasons. However, he had only 16 starts during that time period, which may have led to his retirement from the sport.

With Jones’ retirement, the Packers will have to adjust their offensive line plans for the upcoming season. They will need to find another player with similar skills and versatility to fill his spot on the roster.
