Gray Stone Day School Ranked Among Top High Schools in the Nation for 2024

Gray Stone ranked in the top 30 in the state by U.S. News & World Report – The Stanly News & Press

Gray Stone Day School has been recognized as one of the top-ranked high schools in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual list. The school ranked 801st in the nation and 28th in North Carolina for the 2024 Best High Schools rankings.

The school received a score of 95.46 out of 100, with students achieving impressive percentages on AP exams, as well as proficiency in math, reading, and science. Additionally, Gray Stone boasts a high graduation rate.

Helen Nance, chief administrative officer at Gray Stone, expressed pride in both the students and staff for their hard work in providing a strong education and achieving recognition for their efforts. U.S. News collected data on over 17,000 high schools nationwide and found that Gray Stone ranked in the top 4% and as the ninth highest charter school in North Carolina.

This recognition coincided with National Charter Schools Week, where 14 charter schools made it onto the list of the top 50 high schools in North Carolina. Overall, Gray Stone’s recognition highlights its commitment to preparing students for success through quality education and academic achievement.
