Governor Abbott Highlights Texas’ Business-Friendly Environment at NYSE Fireside Chat

Governor Abbott recently spoke at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Summit in Houston, where he emphasized Texas’ growing economy and business opportunities. He highlighted the state’s appeal to both large and small businesses due to its freedom from government overreach, low taxes, and minimal red tape. During his fireside chat with NYSE Vice Chairman John Tuttle, Abbott discussed pro-business policies in Texas such as protecting companies from regulations, creating the Texas Business Court, and delivering the largest tax cut in state history.

The governor also addressed the state’s efforts to strengthen its power grid and ensure affordable, reliable power for businesses. Additionally, Abbott received the NYSE Bull Award at the summit and renamed it the “Longhorn Award.” He provided an update on Texas’ response to severe storms in North Texas and encouraged affected Texans to report any damage for assistance.
