Google Chromebook Plus Unveils AI-Powered Features for Better User Experience

Introducing Gemini and AI features on the Chromebook Plus: Magic Editor and Help Me Write Tool

On Tuesday, Google released new features for its Chromebook Plus devices that are powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The devices, available for purchase starting at 449 euros, come equipped with the Help Me Write feature, which provides suggestions for titling blog posts, publishing on social networks or changing the tone of a text. Another AI-powered feature is the Magic Editor in Google Photos, which allows users to edit photos by selecting an object and modifying its position or size.

In addition to these features, the devices also include generative AI integrated wallpapers and video call backgrounds for a personalized design experience. Gemini, the AI assistant, is now easily accessible from the home screen of Chromebook Plus and will offer a 12-month trial of the Google One AI Premium plan at no cost to new users.

To set up the new Chromebooks, users can easily share passwords and access Google Tasks with an Android device through a new integrated view. The devices will receive an automatic update to include features like Game Dashboard for better gaming performance and focus mode for concentration.

Upcoming features include resume activity with a new overview to show windows, tabs and applications. The devices will also support AI-assisted facial and text tracking for hands-free control and email messaging. With these new features, users can look forward to writing messages, sending emails or using apps without the need for third-party software.
