Golf Superstar Hideki Matsuyama Joins Boston Commons Golf Team as TGL Launches Prime-Time Play Next Year

Hideki Matsuyama Takes Over Tyrrell Hatton’s Spot on TGL’s Boston Team

Boston Commons Golf, one of the six teams created by TMRW Sports, has announced that Hideki Matsuyama will be joining the team. The tech-infused golf league TGL will begin play in prime time next year. Matsuyama replaces Tyrrell Hatton on the team, which also includes Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, and Keegan Bradley.

Matsuyama expressed his excitement and anticipation to team up with these incredible players and hopes to push the boundaries of golf, creating an unforgettable new experience for fans worldwide. The TGL events will consist of 15 regular-season matches and a postseason, starting in January 2025 at the custom-built SoFi Center in South Florida.

The inaugural season of TGL was delayed due to a dome collapse at the original SoFi Center last year. Thankfully, there were no injuries, but a partial power failure caused the dome to deflate. However, this delay did not deter Boston Common Golf or its sister teams from working together to achieve their goals of winning championships and providing an exciting experience for fans.
