Pepe Reina, the former goalkeeper for Liverpool, is embarking on a new chapter in his career after leaving Villarreal in Spain. At 41 years old, he has played for top European clubs such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and AC Milan, as well as having a loan spell at Aston Villa in 2019-2020. Last year, he celebrated his 1,000th competitive game and was a part of Spain’s World Cup winning squad in 2010.
Throughout his illustrious career, Reina has always had a special connection with Villarreal. He played there from 2002-2005 before moving on to other clubs. Leaving behind the club that has been his home is not an easy task for him. However, he is now focused on finding a new team that will support him as he writes the final chapter of his story. As he approaches his 42nd birthday in August, Reina is feeling well-prepared and highly motivated for this new phase in his career. His experience, talent, and dedication to the sport make him a valuable asset for any team lucky enough to have him.
