Michelle Yeoh to attend Global Citizen NOW summit alongside business and political leaders in the fight against poverty

The Global Citizen NOW summit, set to take place in New York on May 1 and 2, is a nonprofit event that aims to bring together diverse leaders from the political, business, and philanthropic spheres to address pressing global issues such as food insecurity, climate change, and public health linked to extreme poverty. Among the notable attendees are Michelle Yeoh, Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi, and Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg.

Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans has emphasized the urgent need for action to tackle these issues, highlighting the critical moment the world is currently facing. The event will feature actors Hugh Jackman, Danai Gurira, and Dakota Johnson as well as representatives from companies such as Cisco, Citi, Delta, and PayPal. Other notable attendees include Rockefeller Foundation President Rajiv Shah, Bezos Earth Fund CEO Andrew Steer, and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk.
