The final eight contenders were determined after engaging in online tournaments in rapid and blitz formats, culminating in an online knockout stage.

The tournament will consist of a group stage and an intense playoff stage, promising an exciting competition for participants and spectators alike.

Finalists will have their travel and accommodation expenses covered in New York, and each qualifying team will also secure four seats for an online simultaneous chess match against a participant from the FIDE Candidates Tournament.
