Gina Thorsen of Stormy Kromer Honored for Small Business Advocacy in Michigan

CEO of Stormy Kromer honored as Small Business Advocate of the Year for 2024

Gina Thorsen, CEO of Stormy Kromer, has been recognized by the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) for her commitment to small businesses in the state. Thorsen has been an advocate for the Upper Peninsula, encouraging small business owners to get involved in initiatives that support Michigan’s small business community.

SBAM President and CEO Brian Calley praised Thorsen’s work at Stormy Kromer and her dedication to the success of all small businesses. In addition to serving as secretary on the SBAM Board of Directors, Thorsen actively participates in events around the state and is involved with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and a task force for the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.

Thorsen expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of supporting and advocating for fellow small businesses. She believes that by working together and supporting one another, small businesses can thrive and succeed. Thorsen highlighted SBAM’s role in fostering connections among small businesses and creating a supportive network for all entrepreneurs.
