Giants Ready to Silence Skeptics with Proven Performance in 2024

Giants’ roster for 2024 rated as one of the weakest in the NFL

The New York Giants had a disappointing 2023 season, despite starting the Brian Daboll era with a strong performance that included a road playoff victory. As they prepare to enter their third year under Daboll, many are skeptical of their chances for success. In fact, Pro Football Focus ranked the Giants’ roster as the second-worst in the league, only ahead of the Denver Broncos.

The Giants will feel the absence of key players like running back Saquon Barkley and safety Xavier McKinney, but they have made some improvements to their offensive line with free agent signings Jon Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Eluemunor. The addition of Brian Burns via trade should also strengthen the front seven. However, injuries plagued the Giants in 2023, so staying healthy will be crucial for their success in 2024. Key players like left tackle Andrew Thomas and quarterback Daniel Jones will need to stay on the field to give the team a chance. Despite losing Barkley, Jones should benefit from an improved receiving group, which now includes first-round pick Malik Nabers.

Despite Pro Football Focus ranking the Giants low on their roster list, teams like the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots were placed ahead of them, despite having lower win total projections. The Giants will be looking to prove the skeptics wrong and improve upon their disappointing 2023 season under Daboll.
