Giancarlo Esposito, known for his intense portrayal of Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, is set to join the cast of Disney’s latest project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rumors have it that he will be playing another villain in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World.
While Esposito’s role remains a mystery, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about his character. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Esposito will be part of reshoots for the film, directed by Julius Onah and starring Anthony Mackie. These reshoots are expected to last 22 days and will include new action sequences.
Despite setbacks due to scheduling conflicts and other production delays, Captain America: Brave New World was originally set to wrap up its principal photography before the Hollywood strikes of the previous year. However, these issues pushed back its release date to February 2025. With Esposito’s addition to the cast, it seems like things are finally back on track for this highly anticipated Marvel project.
Joining Esposito on set is a star-studded cast including Harrison Ford, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, Danny Ramirez, and Rosa Salazar. With such a talented ensemble on board, fans can expect even more excitement and intrigue surrounding this much-anticipated film release next year.
