Get Your Pets Vaccinated Against Rabies for Free at Mobile County Health Department’s Drive-Through Clinics!

In April, the Mobile County Health Department is providing affordable rabies clinics

Rabies vaccinations are mandatory by law for dogs, cats, and ferrets in Alabama. Luckily, Mobile pet owners have access to resources that make it easy to vaccinate their animals. The Mobile County Health Department is offering low-cost rabies shots for these animals at several drive-through clinics in April.

Pet owners can take advantage of this opportunity at the following clinics:

* April 13, 10 a.m. to noon at the Mobile County Animal Shelter, 7665 Howells Ferry Road in Mobile

* April 13, 1 to 3 p.m. at Pet Supplies Plus, 803 Hillcrest Road in Mobile

* April 20, 10 a.m. to noon at Glamour Paws Grooming, 10005 Dauphin Island Parkway in Theodore

* April 26, 9 a.m. to noon, hosted by Prichard Animal Shelter, 2402 West Rebel Road (the clinic will be in the Prichard Municipal Stadium parking lot)

These clinics are part of a larger initiative to ensure that animals are vaccinated against rabies. In fact, the program has already vaccinated over 2,000 household pets in just one year (2023), according to a news release from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
