This afternoon, the “Find Us in the Community” health and wellness fair was hosted by a local college in Augusta, GA. The Unity Center of Augusta organized the event in collaboration with Angelic Community Resource Development at the Paine College Heal Complex. With September being HIV testing month, the fair provided HIV testing, health screenings, vendors, and more.
John Milton, CEO of Angelic Community Resources Development, urged everyone to attend and get their HIV test to know their status and that of their partners. He emphasized that the event offered more than just HIV testing – it included wellness tests like checking blood pressure, eyes, and teeth, as well as prostate checks, voter registration, and other activities at Paine College in the HEAL complex.
The fair took place from 2 to 6 p.m., and updates on future events will be provided.
