Game 2 Devastation: Pacers Lose Key Player, Struggle Against Celtics in Playoffs

Haliburton forced to leave Celtics-Pacers Game 2 due to left hamstring injury

The Pacers suffered a blow in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals as star player Tyrese Haliburton was forced to exit due to a left hamstring injury. This left the team struggling to keep up with the Celtics, who won the game 126-110 and took a commanding 2-0 series lead.

Haliburton’s departure from the game was caused by left leg soreness, which was confirmed by the Pacers’ official Twitter account. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski later reported that the injury was related to his hamstring. This is concerning for the Pacers as Haliburton had previously injured the same hamstring in January against the Celtics, causing him to miss several games.

In Game 2, Haliburton managed to contribute 10 points, eight assists, and a steal in 28 minutes of play before exiting. The Pacers will now have to rely on other players to step up and help them make a comeback in the series. Pascal Siakam is likely to be their go-to scorer, as he led the team in regular season scoring and scored 28 points in Game 2.

The Pacers will have to regroup and prepare for Game 3, which will take place on Saturday night at home against the Celtics. Haliburton’s availability for upcoming games remains uncertain as the team monitors his injury.
