Gabriela Bryan experiences ‘magical’ moment surfing with pod of dolphins while winning first world championship tour event

Gabriela Bryan won her first world championship tour event at the Western Australia Margaret River Pro on Sunday. The Hawaiian surfer defeated 18-year-old Sawyer Lindbald to claim the title, with an impressive 8.10 score on one wave for a total of 15.93, nearly two points better than Lindbald’s total.

During the final heat, Bryan shared a wave with a pod of dolphins, making the experience magical. She described it as a dream come true and expressed gratitude for the good waves and praised all the girls for putting on a great show. Bryan’s victory secured her position among the top surfers and moved her to No. 5 in the world rankings.

Meanwhile, in the men’s event, Australia’s Jack Robinson emerged as the winner, besting two-time world champion John John Florence. Robinson achieved a 9.10 score on his final wave, giving him a total of 17.27 and a lead of 1.23 points over Florence.

Robinson was thrilled about his performance and expressed his satisfaction with the final heat against Florence. He mentioned that he enjoys competing against Florence and looks forward to many more matchups with the legendary surfer in future events.
