The G7 leaders will gather at Borgo Egnazia, a luxury tourist complex in southern Italy, for three days from June 13 to 15. Situated in the Apulia region, near the Adriatic coast, Borgo Egnazia offers a traditional Italian village experience. It is conveniently located between the cities of Brindisi and Bari, which have the region’s most important airports.
The resort, designed like a traditional Italian village, features luxury hotels and amenities such as swimming pools, restaurants, shops, and spas. Borgo Egnazia’s motto, “Nowhere else,” reflects its ambition to provide a unique and exclusive experience for its guests. However, luxury comes at a price, with a night in a double room costing over $2,000 on a weekend in June.
The G7 members will be joined by Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni as well as the presidents of Brazil and Argentina and Pope Francis at the summit. The decision to host the G7 summit at Borgo Egnazia has raised criticism for isolating the leaders and limiting media access. Despite the controversy, Borgo Egnazia continues to attract visitors seeking a luxurious and exclusive retreat in southern Italy.
