Tourism is a significant driver for the local economy, creating a turnover of 10 billion euros, with families traveling with minors contributing significantly to this total.

Most travelers prefer staying with relatives or friends when on holiday, followed by hotels and bed and breakfasts. When booking their stay, travelers often go directly to the facility’s website. During their holidays, travelers focus on socializing and enjoying activities such as walks, evenings with friends, dining out, and drinking. The majority of travelers will use their own car to reach their destination; however, some opt for planes or trains instead.

Among those not going on holiday in June, economic reasons are the primary factor followed by family and health reasons. Overall, Italians are embracing the opportunity to take a well-deserved break after the end of the school year and enjoy a sustainable holiday in Italy or abroad.
