From Storage to Blossoming: The Transformation of Robbinsdale’s Birdtown Backyard Garden Center

Expansion of Garden Business in Robbinsdale with ‘Birdtown Backyard’

In the bustling city of Robbinsdale, garden enthusiasts have long struggled with limited shopping options, according to Brandon Caviness of Welna Ace Hardware. However, this spring brought a significant change with the opening of the Birdtown Backyard garden center. Bryan Dawson, the manager at Welna Ace Hardware, explained how the space was transformed from a storage area for lawnmowers and snowblowers into a thriving garden center.

The creation of the Birdtown Backyard involved cleaning up years of motor oil and gasoline residue. The first phase focused on stocking grilling supplies, patio furniture, and pet food. As business grew, the second phase expanded to include a wider variety of garden supplies and tools. Customers like Alicia Losier have been impressed with the selection and are excited to find everything they need for their gardening projects.

Dawson expressed his satisfaction with the positive reception from the community and emphasized the goal of making the garden center a valuable asset for Robbinsdale residents. The hope is to provide a convenient option for customers to fulfill their gardening needs without having to travel to larger stores outside of the area. With record-breaking sales in the first few weeks of spring, it looks like the Birdtown Backyard will be a busy hub for years to come.
