Topher’s Trail, a new walking trail located behind Horizon Health’s Aurora Village in Sanborn, has officially opened to the public. The trail is named after Christopher Fiorentino, a former resident at Horizon who tragically lost his life to addiction in September of 2021.
The trail is designed in the shape of an infinity symbol, which represents the enduring impact that Christopher had on the world. During the opening ceremony, Horizon Health Services CEO Erin DiGirolamo spoke about Christopher’s positive spirit and unwavering desire to have a good day. She also highlighted his love for his family and how much he meant to those around him.
Topher’s Trail serves as a place of reflection and remembrance for all who walk its paths. It is a peaceful and serene space where individuals can find solace and hope for a brighter future. By creating this space, Horizon Health hopes to honor Christopher’s memory and remind others of the importance of seeking help for mental health and addiction struggles.
