Cleveland Business Journal reported this month that UnBar Cafe officially opened its doors in Larchmere neighborhood of Cleveland. The cafe’s owner, Melissa Garrett, recently won the top prize of $20,000 at JumpStart Inc.’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase. This event was held at Cleveland’s House of Blues and celebrated the 20th cohort of JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program.
The program offers entrepreneurs personalized advice and business training over a 12-week period. The showcase featured a pitch competition emceed by former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs and his wife, Maria Cribbs. The event was presented by the Cleveland Browns as well. The Cribbs are known for hosting a local television talk show.
