From Pop-Up to Pioneer: Asher’s Coffee Beans Takes Over Roanoke’s Coffee Scene

New Downtown Shop Brewing Up Fresh Coffee

Asher’s Coffee Beans, located at the corner of Fifth Street and Campbell Avenue in Old Southwest, is a unique coffee shop owned by Jacob Asher Galbraith. Galbraith, a native of Northern Virginia who is pursuing a career in the food and beverage industry, has previously worked as a chef at Wilderness Adventure in New Castle and headed dining services at Springtree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke. In 2021, he launched his own coffee business.

Starting with a pop-up event at a hardware store in Salem, Galbraith expanded to farmer’s markets and began wholesaling his coffee. He recently opened the store and roasts his beans at the LEAP kitchen using an Aillio Bullet drum roaster. The coffee shop offers about 17 different blends and single origin coffees sourced from around the world. The current best-selling roast is a low-acid blend from Peru, and the shop is located at 425 Campbell Ave S.W. in Roanoke.

Galbraith’s passion for quality coffee and background in the culinary arts set Asher’s Coffee Beans apart from other coffee shops in the area. His dedication to roasting and sourcing the finest beans from different regions has made him stand out among his peers. Customers can enjoy a variety of blends and single origin coffees, all roasted in-house and served with care.

Asher’s Coffee Beans is a welcome addition to the Roanoke coffee scene, offering a taste of passion and expertise in every cup. With its commitment to quality ingredients, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service, it’s clear that this new venture will be successful beyond measure.
