Demi Lovato to Pay Tribute to Michael D. Ratner at Project Healthy Minds Gala

Michael D. Ratner, founder and CEO of OBB Media, is set to receive the Storyteller of the Year award from Project Healthy Minds at their upcoming fundraising gala at New York’s Spring Studios on Oct. 10. As a veteran director, producer, and content guru known for his work with some of the world’s most famous pop stars such as Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato, Ratner has produced documentaries like Kid Laroi’s “Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About a Kid Named Laroi,” Demi Lovato’s “Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil,” and Justin Bieber’s “Justin Bieber: Seasons.”

Lovato will present Ratner with the award at the gala and they are also collaborating on her directorial debut, “Child Star,” which explores the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight. Ratner and Lovato recently attended the premiere of “Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil” on March 22, 2021, showcasing their professional partnership in the entertainment industry.

Project Healthy Minds, a nonprofit organization focused on mental health awareness, has hosted notable figures like Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, hip hop star Logic, and U.S. Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff at their previous events. This year, the gala will also honor KPMG for their support in addressing mental health crises in the community. The event will be hosted by NBC’s Carson Daly and feature various speakers and guests who are advocates for mental health initiatives.
