From Medical Mystery to Recovery: Jamie Foxx’s Mystifying Health Complication and Return to Work

Latest News on Jamie Foxx’s Health

In the spring of 2021, actor Jamie Foxx faced a medical complication that left him unable to walk for several months. The details of what happened have been kept mostly quiet by the 55-year-old Oscar winner, but in a video obtained from Gossipofthecity, he revealed that he had a headache and asked for an Advil, but lost consciousness for 20 days and has no memory of what happened during that time.

Foxx stated that a doctor mentioned there was something happening in his head during the emergency but declined to elaborate further, saying he wouldn’t discuss it on camera. People magazine confirmed that Foxx was not on a movie set during the incident and did not use an ambulance to get to the hospital. At the time, he was in Georgia filming a Netflix movie called “Back in Action” alongside Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.

Despite facing challenges such as not being able to work or travel due to his health issues, Foxx briefly mentioned his struggles at a special Critics Choice award ceremony in December. He expressed how difficult it was going through such an ordeal but also how grateful he was for life and his art. Currently, Foxx hosts the show “Beat Shazam” with his daughter Corinne, showing that he has recovered and returned to work after his health scare.
