The Sports Bra, a bar that exclusively shows women’s sports, is planning to expand with national franchises as interest in women’s sports grows, particularly with the rising popularity of women’s college basketball. The expansion is in partnership with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s organization, the 776 Foundation, which has a two-year youth program focused on building a better future.
Jenny Nguyen, the founder and CEO of The Sports Bra, expressed excitement for the future with the support of Alexis and 776. She plans to expand The Sports Bra to cities across the country and beyond while continuing to invest in the mission of supporting women’s sports. Nguyen sees this as an exciting time for women’s sports and believes there is a strong demand for more places like The Sports Bra that celebrate and support women athletes.
The bar based in Portland has garnered a global following since its opening two years ago. All returns from the investment in The Sports Bra will be donated to support future generations of women athletes.
