From Legacy to Locker Room: Browns Sign Offensive Guard Wyatt Davis and Cut Defensive Tackle Jayden Peevy

Wyatt Davis signed by Browns, Jayden Peevy released

The Browns made a roster move on Friday by signing offensive guard Wyatt Davis. In order to add Davis to the roster, the team waived defensive tackle Jayden Peevy. Notably, Davis has football in his blood as his grandfather is Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Davis. Since entering the league, he has appeared in a total of nine games with the Vikings, Giants, Saints, and Cardinals.

On the other hand, Peevy had signed a futures contract with the Browns after last season. He initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Titans in 2022. Peevy played in two games for the Titans and has spent time on both the Titans’ and Panthers’ practice squads. Ultimately, his roster spot was sacrificed to make room for Davis on the Browns’ roster.
