From Hometown Hero to Aggie Elite: Kiotti Armstrong’s Commitment to Texas A&M

Texas lands highly ranked TE Kiotti Armstrong

Texas A&M has seen a surge in recruiting efforts under head coach Mike Elko, as evidenced by the commitment of elite four-star tight end Kiotti Armstrong on Friday night. The 6-foot-5 and 246-pound Armstrong, who hails from Jasper, Texas, is now the highest-ranked commit in Texas A&M’s 2025 class.

Despite the coaching staff changes and program reset, Armstrong had always viewed Texas A&M as a top choice for his college football career. He cited his strong relationship with Coach Elko and Coach Taylor, as well as the proximity to his hometown, as factors in his decision. This spring, Armstrong expressed admiration for the coaching staff and their communication style, which made him feel like part of a family.

Kiotti’s father also spoke out on the commitment, noting the positive vibes and family atmosphere they experienced during visits to Texas A&M. With the new staff in place, they felt a strong connection to the program and ultimately decided to pledge their allegiance to the Aggies.

As a junior at Jasper High School, Kiotti showcased his talent on the field by scoring touchdowns at an impressive rate. Despite not racking up a high number of receptions, he made each catch count, finishing the season with 26 catches for 268 yards and nine touchdowns. This means he scored a touchdown approximately every 2.5 catches, highlighting his efficiency and playmaking ability.
